Calling all Bloggers!!!

Okay, so i hate to admit this, but i need help!!! I am beyond stuck in a recipe rut!! I feel, and I think my husband does too, that we eat the same things over and over and over again! It is driving me crazy... so does anyone have any good recipes???

I have the greatest idea, how about if ALL my wonderful blogging friends, and those random people who look at blogs but don't comment(it is okay, i believe we ALL do that=)... everyone just post one recipe, i am sure some of you do this already, but i am new to the blogging world and have probably missed some great recipes!! So please will someone help a girl out?!

How about i start...

Chili
1 lb. Jimmy Dean Maple Sausage
4 reg. size cans red kidney beans, drained
1/2 to 1 whole onion chopped
1 pkg. chili mix
1 jar any kind of salsa
1/2 cup or so sugar

Cook Sausage into bite size pieces. Then combine all ingredients into crock pot and cook 3-4 hours on low.

*The maple sausage can be found by the breakfast bacon at the grocery store, or you can replace it with ground hamburger or ground turkey, i really don't like sausage all that much- but the maple sausage is sooo good... we make tacos with it too.*
*Also, sometimes i will make a little extra chili and then use it as the meat base for Navajo tacos, a couple days later. For those i just buy a big bag of Rhodes rolls and flatten them out and then fry it. Maybe not too healthy, but it tastes really good! I love them with honey butter too!!!*

Bernie's Mexican Chicken Casserole
(I know not another chicken recipe! Sorry!)

1 whole chicken cooked and deboned
(or I just use canned chicken, it is easier and tastes the same)
12 tortillas cut up into bite size pieces
4 oz. can chopped green chili's
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 empty soup can of milk
1/2 lb. shredded cheese(like cheddar)

Mix chili's, soup, and milk in large bowl... In a casserole dish layer tortillas, mixture, and then chicken, at least twice. Then top with cheese. Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes.

So there we go... i have given three, if you count the tacos! So anything would be great, casseroles, crock pot, chicken, pork, steak, ANYTHING to a help a girl and her husband eat something besides chili, or mexican chicken casserole, which are two of my favorites... but are starting to get old!!! Can anyone help me???

What a Big Screen T.V?

Turns out we have two other friends in Arizona that have birthdays within a few days of Rhett's. So being the wonderful wives that we are... we decided to throw them a Surprise party!!! With a little help from our friend Issac(he let us use his apt. and lurred the boys over by telling them that he just got a big screen t.v!). Despite the fact that the boys were a little disappointed about the lack of the big screen...i think they were pretty surprised!!! Good job on all the planning girls!!!! These two pictures are of the boys right when they walked in...SURPRISE!!!
We each made the boys a cake, according to their liking... Yum, yum...
Oh, look at the cute couple!!!

Aren't we just the greatest Med. School wives ever?!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Happy Birthday!!! Well the Rhett-ser turned the big 2-6!! After a few hours of studying, we celebrated with a yummy dinner at Claim Jumpers! Sadly, the waiters didn't sing to him, but he still got a piece of complimentry ice cream cake out the deal!Well, we made sure to sing to him when we got home!!!
You like how there are five candles on the cake??
(Seriously who puts 26 candles on 1 cake?? I think it would
have started a fire in our tiny place!!)
My Dad decided to come all the way from St. George,
to join us for the event!! Thanks Dad, it was so great to see you!!

Christmas Break...

Well, we feel like we need to catch up, here are a few highlights of our Christmas break... we went to St. George and visited family, it was nice to have a break from our
ever-so-entertaining lives of school and work.
These are our friends Jon and Alexis. They joined the Hansen's for Christmas dinner this year, we loved having them.
This is Sara's Aunt Michele, Granni(my mom's mom) and Sara's mother, and Sara...
Here is us Christmas morning.. Do we look like we just woke up? My brother and his wife were kind enough to wake us up EARLY to see what Santa brought...
Rhett's parents are mission president's in Brazil and so they had a little Christmas wrapped up for us! We are so excited about our new griddle! We have already used it like 5 or 6 times!

Santa Clause is Comin' to Town!!!

We couldn't not make this our first post!!! While we were home for Christmas, Rhett was the lovely one to dress up like Santa!! Sara's family takes presents to others and her dad always does the dressing up, but somehow Rhett got roped into it!!!
